My February favorites and more

Summory of events

This month I decided to make a summary of some events that happened. At the beginning of this month, it was really cold in my area, around -10°C. Only like a week later it was nearly 20°C, in February. All the animals started to go crazy and went from having too much energy to having none at all. My pony started shedding in January already but, by now she is already nearly half the size she was in December.

Then my dog who is now around 8 months old got castrated. Luckily everything went well and we were able to bring her home the same day. After that my dog Flora wasn’t allowed to play with any other dogs and we had to keep her on the leash for about ten days. We also had to start slowly, with going on walks again. The first few days she was tired and sleeping most of the time. It didn’t take long until she started to have a lot of energy again and sought our attention all the time.

My family and I have lived in our house for the last 15 years. When we moved in, my brother and I were just little kids. We never repainted the walls so by now they weren’t really white anymore. So I decided to paint the walls new. I actually had a lot of fun doing so. I painted one wall after the other now I am soon finished on the ground floor of our house. Maybe I will even mix in some colors in the future. I am just not sure where and which color yet.

Favorite movies and series

This month the third movie of the ‘Too all the boys I’ve loved before‘ series got released. I was obviously really excited and had to watch it right away.

When I was in school we read and watched the first ‘Twilight‘ book and movie. I finally rewatched it and finished the rest of the movies.

I also started to rewatch ‘Jane The Virgin‘. I only watched part of it a few years ago and decided to start again and hopefully finish this time around.

Netflix released this new series called ‘Ginny & Georgia‘. When I first watched the trailer they mentioned something about the Gilmore Girls, so I obviously had to watch it. You can’t really compare the two shows though. Their story is very different. Some scenes are a bit violent and part of the topic is self-harm.

The reality show ‘Canine Intervention‘ is a new release on Netflix too. This show is about a dog trainer who works with troubled dogs and dog owners. For anyone owning a dog might be interested in this series.

I hope you liked the way I did it this month and we’ll see us next time.

My January favorites

I have seen a lot of german YouTubers do these videos once a month where they summon all their favorite things from the past month. I really liked the concept and decided to do the same thing on my Blog. I will show you my favorite books, movies, tv shows, food, skincare, and more. It will be like a summary of the month. Everything important to me.

First, though I want to tell you a little about the past month. A lot changed at the end of december. I had my last day at the daycare where I worked at for the past one and a half years. Which means I now have a lot of time on my hands where I could do things around the house. I could also concentrate on my eating habits and try to eat as much veganfood as possible. If you didn’t know already I’ve been a vegetarian for the last two and a half years. I also tried some new things about how to plan in my journal. I will make sure to write about that in a different article. It was also my 17th Birthday. My brother had to join the military forces, because in Switzerland it’s mandatory to do so. He will be there for a few months now.

Let’s get to the products I really liked this month. On Netflix were a lot of great new releases so I guess we can start with movies and tv shows.

  • Gilmore girls (my all-time favorite series)
  • Bridgerton
  • Ballerina
  • Virgin River
  • Pretty Little Liars
  • Cable Girls (Las Chicas del Cable)
  • Riverdale
  • Sex Education

I started to use make up by this great brand called banana beauty. I also started to use new haircare products by mermaid and me. Both brands are vegan, cruelty free and sustainable etc. (not sponsored) I also tried to read the book pride and prejudice a few time, but I wasn’t really in the reading flow so each time I started I stopped again soon after. I don’t know why, but sometimes it takes a few tries until I am in the flow of reading. I hope that’s going to happen soon.

I think this is pretty much everything summoned together of this month… I hope you got a little bit inspired. Okay, see you next time.

How to track your tasks

I have started writing in a journal a while ago, I must say though it was or still is hard for me to do it daily. Most of the time I just forgot about it, didn’t know what to write or was just too lazy to do it. On some days I was extremely motivated to note pretty much everything into the journal. I wanted to document all of the things in my life that I often forget after time. And on other days I didn’t write about anything. After a while, I realized I had to change the way I write things down. It would have to be easier and faster, so I would do it more often without that big of an effort.

an example of a Tracker

I went on Pinterest and looked up “bullet journal ideas”, I found a lot of ideas that really helped me. I found the tracker system, with a chart, on top you can write down every day of the month and on the left side you can fill in every task you want to keep track of. This way you can easily make a cross on the day you did a certain task. Let’s say you don’t want to always know when you water your plants and not forget about it. You can just write that down and always make a little cross when you do water your plants, this way you definitely won’t forget it and can always keep track. You can use this tracker for all kinds of things in literally every situation.

You can also keep track of your feelings. For example, if you are really emotional on that day or just are in a sad mood you can write that in a row of your chart. This way can easily make a cross whenever you’re feeling that way. I have a lot of migraines, I like to keep track of when I have which symptoms.

Maybe this tip could help you to write in a journal more often too. If you have more tips on this topic let me know in the comments below.
